Amanita vittadinii (Moretti) Vittad.
Fruit body: cap up to 15 cm, fleshy, rounded then expanded, white to pale ochraceous, brownish at centre with age. Gills are crowded, free, in shades of cream. Stem is up to 15x2.5 cm, scaly below ring.
Microscopy: spores broadly ellipsoid, amyloid, 10-13x7.5-10 μm.
Flesh: white, unchanging or turning slightly yellowish.
Habitat: woods, copses, on havy soils in warm regions, rare.
Edibility: inedible.
