Panaeolus semiovatus (Sowerby) S. Lundell & Nannf.

Fruit body: cap up to 10 cm, at first paraboloid then convex, pale grey. Gills are crowded, adnate, pale grey to black with white edge. Stem is up to 20x1.5 cm, veil forming on ascending ring.

Microscopy: spores ellipsoid, often with a pore, 15—21x8—11 μm, black en masse.

Flesh: soft, whitish.

Habitat: mostly on horse dung.

Edibility: unknown

Comment: This the only Panaeoulus species with a ring, although a weak one.
